Dr. Aaron Duvall

Dr. Aaron Duvall is an educational leader and workforce development strategist dedicated to expanding opportunity through innovative education, industry partnerships, and talent development. Throughout his career, he has championed initiatives that connect students with meaningful career pathways while strengthening Arkansas’s workforce and economy through competency-based learning, career and technical education, and workforce innovation.

Dr. Duvall serves as the Executive Director of Workforce Development at UA Little Rock, where he oversees Corporate and Community Education, University Career Services, Concurrent Enrollment, and Study Abroad. In this role, he leads university-wide initiatives that align education with workforce needs, develops partnerships with business and industry, expands career pathways for learners of all ages, and advances workforce and economic development throughout Arkansas.

Before joining UA Little Rock, Dr. Duvall served as the inaugural Career and Technical Education Director for Responsive Education Solutions of Arkansas, where he developed innovative workforce pathways for at-risk students across nine high schools. During his five years with the organization, he also served as an educator, mentor, administrator, and as the first Virtual Director for Premier High Schools of Arkansas, helping expand educational access for diverse student populations.

Dr. Duvall earned his Doctor of Education in Rural and Diverse Education from Southern Arkansas University in 2025 as a member of the program’s inaugural doctoral cohort. His dissertation examined the impact of career and technical education on graduation rates among Black students in the rural Arkansas Delta. A recognized speaker and thought leader, he has presented nationally on workforce development, career and technical education, educational leadership, and competency-based learning, and his work has been published by the Aurora Institute and the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators.

An active leader in education policy and workforce development, Dr. Duvall serves on numerous university and statewide committees, including the Chancellor’s Leadership Council, the Provost Leadership Council, the University AI Council, and the Sustainability Committee at UA Little Rock. He previously chaired a subcommittee of the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s Educational Policy Initiative, served on the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators’ Career and Technical Education Board of Directors, contributed to the development of the Arkansas LEARNS Act as a member of its Readiness Committee, and continues to serve on the University of Arkansas Office for Educational Policy Community Leadership Council.

With more than two decades of experience spanning rural and urban schools, public and private education, charter schools, and higher education, Dr. Duvall has built a career focused on preparing students and communities for long-term success. He earned a master’s degree in School Leadership and Management and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Arkansas, where he was recognized as Student Teacher of the Year.

In 2026, Dr. Duvall received the Junior Achievement of Arkansas Power Connector Award in recognition of his outstanding volunteer service and commitment to connecting education, business, and community partners to create opportunities for Arkansas students. Dr. Duvall resides in Conway, Arkansas, with his wife, Kim, and their three children: Gabe, Emerson, and Everest.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, sports, reading, gardening, and family walks.
