Eric Evans is the Chief Executive Officer of MPR Properties, where he leads real estate investment and development initiatives focused on strengthening communities and expanding economic opportunity across Arkansas. With more than 15 years of executive experience
leadership experience spanning law enforcement, logistics, transportation, construction, real estate development, and entrepreneurship, Eric has built a career centered on servant
leadership, collaboration, and community impact.
Raised in the small Delta town of Lepanto, Arkansas, Eric learned the value of hard work, resilience, and investing in people. Those principles continue to guide his leadership and his commitment to creating opportunities that improve communities throughout the state.
A graduate of the University of Memphis, Eric was a member of the university’s football team, where he developed the discipline and teamwork that continue to shape his leadership style. He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., embracing its
principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.
Eric has led strategic partnerships that connect business, infrastructure, transportation, and community development to drive sustainable economic growth. He is currently involved in the Basden Steel development project in Poinsett County, an initiative helping reshape the region through significant private investment, generating millions of dollars in local economic activity and supporting the creation of more than 30 jobs.
Beyond his professional career, Eric is committed to serving others through nonprofit and community engagement, including supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Dream Chasers. His faith serves as the foundation of his leadership, reinforcing his belief that lasting success is measured by the positive impact made in the lives of others.
Eric believes Arkansas’s greatest strength is its people and is passionate about bringing together leaders from business, education, government, nonprofit organizations, and faith communities to create lasting solutions that strengthen the state. He is committed to using his experience, relationships, and passion for service to expand opportunity, foster collaboration, and help build a stronger future for communities across Arkansas.
