Grant Brewer
University of Arkansas
Grant Brewer serves as the Director of Professional and Workforce Development for the University of Arkansas through the Global Campus. He specializes in finding ways to partner with industry, business leaders, government agencies, and other institutions to expand learning opportunities. These efforts help people across the Northwest Arkansas region, the state, and beyond, to advance their careers or start new ones. Previously, Grant served as the Manager for Community and Workforce Development with DroneUp. Grant helped DroneUp facilitate community engagement efforts for the three drone delivery hubs in Northwest Arkansas, along with the 30 additional hubs has across the country. He also coordinated workforce development initiatives for High School STEM engagement and collegiate partnerships to help build a talent pipeline.
Before joining DroneUp, Grant worked for 10 years in Higher Education and 8 years in Secondary Education. His Higher Education experience includes working at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. During his time as a secondary education teacher, Grant was one of the first teachers in the state of Arkansas to pilot the Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS), or Drones Program as a Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway.
He holds an Education Specialist degree from Arkansas State University in Education Leadership. He also has a Master of Education degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Grant spends his time outside of work with his wife and children, Brooke, Blaire, and Graham, exploring Northwest Arkansas and finding new adventures to enjoy as a family.
