Stephanie Sharp

Stephanie Sharp is a communications professional with experience spanning corporate communications, public sector, politics, and journalism. Currently serving as the Senior Communications and External Affairs Strategist for Summit Utilities, Inc., Arkansas’s largest natural gas company, Stephanie took the role in April 2023. In her capacity, she is responsible for overseeing external communications across five states while prioritizing strategic stakeholder engagement and leading the internal communications team that communicates to Summit’s 1,400+ employees.

Before joining Summit, Stephanie was a Senior Manager at Walmart in Global Communications. During her time there, she guided local store operators on media-related matters, collaborated closely with the Walmart Emergency Operations Center to manage crisis communication and public awareness, and implemented comprehensive media plans that strengthened Walmart’s brand.

Prior to Walmart, Stephanie served as the Deputy Communications Director for the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office for two years. In this role, she contributed to creating messaging for the Attorney General and collaborated with senior leadership to implement strategies that effectively promoted the office’s message.

Before transitioning into communication strategy, Stephanie was a television reporter and anchor in the Little Rock, Arkansas, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota markets. Stephanie received her Broadcast Journalism degree from Harding University and earned her Master’s in Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service. Stephanie currently lives in Bentonville, Arkansas.
