Arkansas economy is ‘improving and strengthening,’ state chamber CEO says

Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Randy Zook gave an optimistic overview of the state’s economy at Tuesday’s Rotary Club of Little Rock meeting, identifying issues with labor force participation and regional population loss but praising recent tax cuts and statewide metrics for growth.

“The pie is getting bigger; the economy is improving and strengthening,” he said. “People are finding more and more opportunities in Arkansas. People are addressing those opportunities, investing capital, and it’s just a sweet spot for all of us right now in terms of our economic output.”
