Daron Frederick

Daron Frederick serves as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer for the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.
His educational career is noted with both MIS and MBA degrees. Daron has been certified in Fiber Optic engineering, Virtualization, Emergency Management, and ICS – Incident Commander, and is an Arkansas State licensed Auctioneer.

Daron has been published for poetry in Australia and the United States. He has written and contributed editorial commentary for a national law organization, energy articles, and security publications for various government agencies.

His personal life is as storied as his career, with sports, outdoorsman activities, and 12 grandchildren.

Daron Frederick is an accomplished professional technology leader that has a proven career in varying professional settings. Coming from humble beginnings outside of Cabot Arkansas, his career began early by accepting a position with Cabot Fire Department as one of only 3 full-time firefighters for the city.

During his path of being a firefighter and EMT in the state, Daron recognized a higher calling of service, and he enlisted into the United States Navy. His Navy career took him around the world from Australia to the Middle East during the Gulf War. His time in service helped him identify with the freedom in discipline, the recognition of authority, and the unfortunate loss during war. Daron served in the U.S. Navy for 16 years in the aspect of security, communications, and operational intelligence.

His career only continued to excel as his entrance back into civilian life, allowed him the opportunity to work as a developer in the banking industry for a European based company, creating more opportunities to travel worldwide, delivering and working with different countries and cultures, bringing a greater understanding of the values he now embraces.

His acceptance of position in the medical industry created a new offering as one of the first HIPAA Compliance Officers in the State, followed by accepting the role of CIO, and assisting a Statewide initiative post – 9/11, as a chairman of a regional Bio-Terrorism task force.

His career continued as he moved to work for as CIO for a national trucking company and followed by accepting a position with the Arkansas Supreme Court, as a technical manager, and producer of the first US State Supreme Court to hold ‘Live’ online hearings for the public.
