Elizabeth Gomez

Elizabeth Gomez serves as Associate Director, U.S. Programs, at Winrock International, where she advances rural and regional community development across Arkansas and the Mid-South. Her work connects strategy, partnerships, funding, technical assistance, and implementation to strengthen community capacity, public health, placemaking, digital equity, and rural leadership development.
With more than 15 years of professional and volunteer experience, Elizabeth has dedicated her career to serving historically underserved families and communities. Her background spans community development, education, family support, organizational consulting, adult education, grants management, and project implementation. Prior to joining Winrock, she served as a Program Director at the Arkansas Department of Education, overseeing federal education grants and supporting programmatic implementation, compliance, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Originally from Venezuela, Elizabeth immigrated to the United States with her husband and son and proudly calls Arkansas home. She is fluent in Spanish and actively volunteers in philanthropy, community, and faith-based service. She is passionate about helping Arkansas communities build capacity, deepen partnerships, and turn opportunity into lasting impact.
