Heath Hooker

Heath is a maintenance supervisor at Nucor-Yamato Steel.  He has been a very active Teammate for NYS for 24 years.  Heath started in shipping and then moved into maintenance for the last 19 years.  Heath has held several leadership positions within the maintenance department.  Heath has also been involved and lead different safety and development teams within Nucor-Yamato and Nucor.  He has also served as chair for the AIST Crane Technology committee and also served on the board of directors for AIST (Association for Iron & Steel Technology).  Heath has vast experience in project management and building relationships within the corporation and with suppliers within the steel industry.

Heath graduated from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.  Heath is married with three daughters. He and his wife live in Jonesboro AR. Heath looks forward to the opportunity to be a part of Leadership Arkansas and see how he may contribute to the program and knowing that he will benefit from it as well.
