Dr. John Lewis

John Lewis serves as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Arkansas Tech University, where he provides executive leadership for admissions, recruitment, financial aid, marketing, and strategic enrollment planning. As a member of the President’s Executive Council, he collaborates across the institution to advance student success, strengthen enrollment outcomes, and support the university’s mission.
With more than 25 years of experience in higher education, Lewis has built a career focused on expanding educational access, improving student success, and leading organizational growth. Before joining Arkansas Tech, he served as Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Student Life and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College, where he led enrollment growth initiatives and implemented strategies that enhanced student engagement and support services. His professional experience also includes leadership roles at Christian Brothers University, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, and Arkansas State University.
Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management and Ecology and a Master of Public Administration from Arkansas State University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Community College Teaching and Leadership and a Doctor of Education in Higher and Adult Education from the University of Memphis. He has served in numerous professional leadership roles, including President of the Arkansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
He and his wife, Nicole, are the parents of four children and are passionate advocates for the life-changing impact of higher education.
