Lane Gammel

Lane Gammel originally joined Goodwill Industries of Arkansas in August of 2022 where he spent one year as director of marketing and community engagement for the non-profit. He took a nine-month hiatus to serve as director of communications for the Carolina Panthers during the 2023 season. He returned to GIA as director of communications in March 2023. In his role, Lane develops, implements, and executes strategies for marketing, communications and public relations that support the brand and ensure a positive and consistent image. He is charged with increasing mission impact and stakeholder engagement including employees and financial donors and driving greater profitability through increases in donor and shopper activity.

Before joining Goodwill, Lane spent 24 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks (1997-20), including 12 as the director of communications where he managed internal and external messaging. In this role he created media policies, was the team’s primary contact for both local and national media/TV broadcast partners, and served as the liaison to the NFL office on media-related maters.
A native Arkansan from Crossett, Lane returned home in 2021 and was the director of communications at Harding University for one year before coming to Goodwill.

Lane is a graduate of the University of Louisiana – Monroe. He and his wife, Karen, have a daughter, Kalyn Hope, and reside in Benton. He enjoys playing golf and camping with his family.
