Lauren Hoskins
West Memphis Utility Commission
Lauren Hoskins serves as the Director of Communications, Marketing and Public Relations for West Memphis Utilities, where she leads strategic communications and public engagement efforts that strengthen relationships among the utility, its customers and its employees. She oversees initiatives that enhance the organization’s public presence while promoting the value of public power, transparency and service.
A native Arkansan, Lauren is a graduate of West Memphis High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Arkansas, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Before joining West Memphis Utilities, she spent nearly eight years as a television news producer in Fayetteville, Dallas and Memphis, honing her expertise in strategic storytelling, crisis communications and community engagement.
Lauren is equally committed to serving her community beyond her professional role. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis & Mid-South, where she advocates for individuals with disabilities and their families. As the mother of a son with Down syndrome, she is passionate about advancing inclusion, expanding access to resources and creating opportunities for every family to thrive.
As a young Black leader, Lauren is dedicated to strengthening Arkansas through collaboration, service and inclusive leadership. She believes meaningful progress is built through authentic relationships, diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to improving communities. She is committed to fostering partnerships across Arkansas while continuing to grow as a leader who creates lasting impact in West Memphis and throughout the state.
