Mark McHale

Ritter Communications

Mark McHale joined Ritter Communications in January 2022 as Vice President, Public Affairs and Community Relations.
Mark’s background in strategic communications, public policy, media relations, and technology services is valuable to Ritter Communications’ market expansion efforts across the Mid-South region. His work as a Presidential Appointee during the last Republican Administration, serving as the Associate Administrator in the Office of Strategic Communications with U.S. General Services Administration, kept Mark abreast of telecom and technology modernization initiatives across federal and state governments. His technology experience is vital in supporting Ritter Communications’ mission to provide Arkansans with high-speed internet service to their homes and businesses, and close the digital divide and connectivity gaps in rural markets the company serves across Mid-South communities.

As VP of Public Affairs and Community Relations, Mark focuses on establishing and deepening business relationships with public officials and elected leaders in markets throughout the Mid-South. Mark also keeps current on the rapidly evolving federal and state broadband regulations, identifies and investigates multiple federal/state network construction opportunities, and explores potential public-private partnerships – coordinating Ritter’s new market expansion efforts and positioning the company in new, strategic service areas.

In addition, Mark serves on a number of Boards in the broadband industry and Ritter’s headquarters market of Jonesboro, Arkansas. He’s a Board member of The Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, The Arkansas Telecommunications Association, NEA Baptist Hospital Health System, The Northeast Arkansas Workforce Development Board, and Tennessee Broadband Association.
Mark is a graduate of Miami University (Oxford, OH) and a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He and his wife Wendy have two sons, John and Robert – and a rescue dog named Lucky. Mark is an avid golfer, reader, and Arkansas State University Red Wolves sports fan.
