Nelson Peacock

Nelson Peacock is the President and CEO of the Northwest Arkansas Council. In his role at the Northwest Arkansas Council, he collaborates with Arkansas’s top organizations, including major employers, state leaders, educators, local government officials, and chambers of commerce for the purpose of meeting the goals and objectives of the Council. Under his leadership, the Northwest Arkansas Council has successfully overseen the completion of the Bella Vista bypass, the Health Care Transformation Division, and EngageNWA. 
Prior to his current role, Peacock served as Senior Vice President for Government Relations at the University of California. He also led the Office of Legislative Affairs for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and served as Senior Counsel to Senator Joe Biden on the Senate Judiciary Committee. An Arkansas native, Peacock holds degrees from the University of Arkansas and the George Washington University School of Law.
