Shanda Hunter

Shanda Hunter is a seasoned communications professional with more than two decades of experience in storytelling and strategic communication. Currently serving as a Senior Corporate Communications Consultant at Southwestern Electric Power Company, Shanda plays a vital role in developing and executing communication strategies that highlight the company’s commitment to providing reliable and sustainable energy.

Before joining SWEPCO, Shanda worked as broadcast journalist, working in newsrooms across Northwest Arkansas, Texas, South Dakota, Florida and Tennessee. Her career in journalism has provided her with a unique perspective on capturing and conveying compelling stories.

Shanda’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from South Dakota State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. Additionally, she is an FAA-certified drone pilot.

Shanda and her husband, Chase, and their two children Henry (8) and Violet (6) are proud to call Fayetteville, Arkansas home.
