Zeynep Vural

Zeynep Vural is currently Senior Manager of Treasury and Credit at Southwest Power Pool (SPP), where she has held various leadership roles since joining the organization in 2012.

Before joining SPP, Zeynep held finance management roles at Alltel and Verizon from 2004 to 2011, working across treasury, capital markets, financial planning, and corporate accounting functions.

Zeynep has extensive public accounting experience from her time at Deloitte, one of the Big Four global accounting and professional services firms. She worked in both Turkey and Little Rock in audit and financial reporting roles, supporting a variety of clients and industries.

Earlier in her career, Zeynep worked as an Economic Analyst at the American Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. In that role, she provided in-depth analysis of national economic and commercial developments, helping embassy staff build productive ties with their Turkish counterparts. Her work earned her a Meritorious Honor Award from U.S. Department of State for exceptional service.

Zeynep holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from Middle East Technical University in Ankara and an MBA from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Zeynep has lived in Little Rock since 1997 with her husband Emre, a fellow native of Turkey. They have two sons, Deniz (23) and Baran (18), both born and raised in Little Rock. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, playing tennis, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
